Nursing Staff

Overview:

The nurse works closely with all clients in our detoxification and residential multidisciplinary inpatient setting. Nurses will maintain an open line of communication with our Medical Director, Support Staff, attending clinicians, and clients. 

Performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:

  1. Monitoring vital signs and conducting withdrawal assessments.  
  2. All aspects of medication orders, monitoring and documentation within the scope of practice.  
  3. Daily documentation using the electronic medical records system KIPU.  
  4. Maintains HIPAA Compliance, follows treatment policies of the organization, The Joint Commission and Federal and State Laws and Regulations.  
  5. Coordination of all internal and external medical, lab, and necessary appointments.  
  6. Ensure that all services being provided follow HIPAA and CFR 42 and DHCS standards.
  7. Provides for the comfort, safety, privacy, and confidentiality of clients. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Active RN or LVN license and able to show proof of employment.  
  2. Specific knowledge helpful in processing addiction and treatment resources.
  3. Prior experience in the treatment setting. 
  4. Current certification in First Aid/CPR
  5. Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements.
  6. Strong Professional references attesting to high degree of clinical judgement and professionalism.  

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be comfortable driving one or more clients and able to navigate in the outside world.
